NW soldier appears for murder─── DANE BEISHEIM 11:56 Thu, 23 Oct 2014
Potchefstroom - A member of the SA National Defence Force appeared in the Potchefstoom Magistrate’s court briefly this morning on a charge of murder.
Colbens Ramatsetse is accused of murdering his former girlfriend, Thato's nine year old brother after their relationship ended.
He will appear in the same court again on Monday for a formal bail application. Mdumiseni Mthini's body was found with multiple stab wounds in the bushes near Top City outside Potchefstroom in August.
Ramatsetse allegedly also assaulted Thato after she ended their relationship of two years, and threatened to kill someone close to her.
He is a soldier at 4 Artillery Regiment in Potchefstroom.
