FS ANC not aware of “Oath of Secrecy”─── REFILWE GAESWE 11:34 Fri, 24 Oct 2014
Bloemfontein - An ANC official in the Free State says he will follow up the Setsoto Municipality in Ficskburg's request that councillors sign an “Oath of Secrecy”.
General Secretary, William Bulwane says the ANC is not aware of the incident and doesn't know how the municipality ended up taking such a decision.
He was speaking during a media briefing in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
Bulwane says while the ANC does not encourage municipalities to hide anything, he believes there is certain information that shouldn't be released to the public.
The Setsoto Municipality requested councillors to sign the oath last week during a council meeting in Ficksburg.
Municipal Manager Tshepiso Ramakarane told OFM News they have nothing to hide, saying the matter has been blown out of proportion. DA councillors in the municipality refused to sign the oath.
