Bothaville - Agriculture Minister Senzeni Zokwana says he is very satisfied with the attitude of farmers towards transformation.
This comes following his address and participation in a panel discussion at the annual Grain SA Congress currently underway in Bothaville in the Free State.
He says the message he is getting is that farmers are not against transformation.
On the issue of the drought, Zokwana says urgent attention will be given to what he terms “the maize disaster".
Exact time frames could not be given yet but both the Minister and Grain SA executives reassured media that the entire processes will be governed by legislation in terms of the Disaster Management Act.
