Brandwag guesthouse murder: Name not released yet─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 13:13 Thu, 12 Mar 2015
Bloemfontein - The name of a 40-year-old woman whose badly decomposed body was found at a guesthouse in Brandwag in Bloemfontein yesterday afternoon, has not been released yet as her next of kin have not been located.
OFM News reported earlier that the woman's body was discovered by an employee at the guesthouse after a bad smell in one of the rooms.
Police spokesperson, Chaka Marope, says the woman, allegedly from Bloemfontein was found naked underneath the bed. Marope says a preliminary investigation found she was strangled and raped.
According to him the woman was last seen on Saturday at around 8pm when she checked in at the guesthouse in Mc Hardy Street. She was accompanied by an unknown man and woman.
Marope has appealed to anyone with information to contact their nearest police station.
