One killed, one seriously injured in Bloemfontein bike accident─── 08:12 Mon, 30 Mar 2015
Bloemfontein - A motorcyclist died and the person he was riding with sustained serious injuries in Kelly's View off the N8 about 20km outside Bloemfontein on Sunday evening.
ER24 spokesperson, Chitra Bodasing, said when ER24 and Life Healthcare paramedics arrived on scene they found the people lying a few metres away from the badly damaged bike.
It is believed the rider lost control of the bike around a bend. The bike went down an embankment.
The patients were assessed. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for the man, in his early 20's. He had sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead on the scene.
The woman, 25 years of age, sustained multiple injuries and was in a serious condition. She was treated and transported to Pelonomi Hospital for further medical care.
