Bloemfontein - A hands-up and not a hand-out approach is what the National Youth Development Agency will take in hosting their outreach programmes in townships across the country.
This is the word from NYDA chair, Yershen Pillay, addressing two hundred youths in Botshabelo outside Bloemfontein this morning.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to create awareness around the NYDA and the various programmes available to youth, located in especially rural areas.
Pillay says they have a 24 month mentorship period in their grant programme and they will not simply be handing over money for start-ups.
