Rhino poached at Koster game farm─── DANE BEISHEIM 12:35 Mon, 25 May 2015
Rustenburg - The stock theft unit of the police based at the Phokeng police station in Rustenburg has registered a case of poaching, after a rhino was found dead at a private game farm in Koster on Saturday.
The rhino had allegedly last been seen by the farm owner a month prior to the discovery.
One of his employees found the carcass while on routine patrols of the farm.
According to North West police spokesperson, Paul Ramoloko it is suspected that the dehorned adult female rhino had been dead for three weeks.
