Former cop breaks into detective office in search of docket | News Article

Hertzogville - A former detective sergeant from Hertzogville in the Free State has been arrested along with an accomplice after breaking into the offices of the detective branch Friday night.

The two suspects were arrested after the police were called to the scene after they were seen roaming in the offices.

Police spokesperson Thabo Litabe says the 39-year-old former officer has a pending case of fraud against him.

Reports further reveal that it is believed the former officer was searching for his pending corruption case docket, not knowing it's being handled by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI).

The suspects will appear in court on Tuesday.
