Bloemfontein - The so-called Cuban Five are expected to arrive at the Bram Fischer Airport in Bloemfontein on Wednesday as part of their five province tour of South Africa.
ANC provincial spokesperson Thabo Meeko says the Cuban Five are scheduled to visit Batho location and address residents at Batho Community Hall.
They arrived in South Africa two weeks ago and have already visited Robben Island in Cape Town. They are also expected to visit Limpopo, KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng before heading back to Cuba on July 4.
Meeko says two government buildings will be renamed after Fidel Castro and OR Tambo.
The Cuban Five, also known as the Miami Five (Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino, Fernando González, and René González), were Cuban intelligence officers who were arrested in September 1998 and later convicted in Miami of conspiracy to commit espionage, conspiracy to commit murder, acting as an agent of a foreign government, and other illegal activities in the United States.
