Vryburg farm attack suspects back in court─── 08:48 Mon, 06 Jul 2015
Vryburg - Two men accused of attacking a 73-year old farmer and his wife on their farm near Vryburg are expected to appear in the Ganyesa Magistrate’s Court again today.
The case against 35-year-old Tebogo Maiyane and 28-year-old Mooketsi Mpopo was postponed for a second time so the pair could secure legal representation.
Both men were arrested in Cassel near Kuruman after they allegedly broke into Johannes and Delmien Haasbroek's home near Vryburg. The couple were asleep at the time of the attack.
Johannes, known in the community as Hasie, was stabbed with sheep shears above the eye and in the back. Delmien was physically unharmed.
