FS health worker case moved to High Court─── CATHY DLODLO 12:29 Mon, 06 Jul 2015
Bloemfontein - The case involving approximately a hundred Free State community health workers was postponed until noon this morning to secure a bigger courthouse.
The trial involves workers who were arrested in July last year, while staging a sit-in at the Free State provincial health headquarters in Bloemfontein.
They are charged with contravening the Regulations of Gatherings Act 205 of 1993. The workers were protesting the termination of their contracts by the provincial health department.
The trial is now set to start this afternoon after it was moved to the High Court to address the lack of space to accommodate all the accused.
