FS cops out on bail after alleged highjacking─── 17:46 Mon, 27 Jul 2015
Bloemfontein - Two Bloemfontein off-duty police officers who were arrested on Friday night for alleged hijacking, have been released on bail of R800 each.
The two men appeared briefly at the city's magistrate’s court this afternoon, where the case was postponed to August 25 for further investigation.
It’s alleged that on the night, the two officers hired a meter taxi from Phahameng location to Windmill Casino. An argument erupted between the two men and the driver, and one of the cops held him at gun point.

Police spokesperson Chaka Marope says one of the accused, Mojalefa Bonties, is a 38-year-old constable, stationed at Parkweg police station. Jackson Nomadhla is a 30 year-old detective constable, stationed at Bloemspruit.
The two men are facing charges of theft of cash and pointing of a firearm. Their lawyers have conformed that neither has any previous convictions.
