Bloemfontein - A former Leopards rugby player is in a serious but stable condition at Mediclinic Bloemfontein after he was involved in a car accident on Sunday.
Johannes Seerane was on his way to his girlfriend’s house when the accident occurred outside De Aar in the Northern Cape.
He was travelling from East London, where his current team the Border Bulldogs are based, to the North West province.
Mediclinic Bloemfontein spokesperson, Amanda Appelgryn says Seerane was transferred from De Aar Hospital to Bloemfontein yesterday.
Appelgryn says before the accident the 26-year old experienced problems with his car’s wheel and stopped to repair it before continuing on his journey.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
