Pretoria - An economist believes that Reserve Bank Governer, Gill Marcus has opened the door for repo rate increases sometime within the next year.
Graeme Kerner's comments come after Marcus's announcement yesterday that the Repo Rate would stay unchanged at 5.5-percent.
Kerner says the decision reflects the realities of the South African economy and the latest inflation trends.
However, he's warned of possible increases to come.
