East London - Oxford Dictionary launches the first bilingual isiXhosa/English dictionary to be published since 1985 in East London today.
Meagan Hall, one of the compilers, says the dictionary will assist Xhosa speaking children who are learning in English at school, as well as anyone who wants to learn the language.
She says more than 35 experts in both languages, dictionary making and computer software contributed in the making of the dictionary.
Hall says over three thousand copies have already been ordered by schools and libraries.
