'All preparations finalised for 2014 National Senior Certificate exams'─── 07:32 Sun, 21 Sep 2014
Pretoria - The department of basic education says it has finalised all preparations for the 2014 National Senior Certificate exams.
The department says a total of 688 660 candidates are registered for this year's exams, which commences on the 27th of October.
Education department spokesperson, Elijah Mahlangu, says KwaZulu Natal has the largest full-time enrolment this year followed by Gauteng. The Northern Cape has the smallest number of registrations for this year's exam.
Mhlangu says they're predicting an 80 percent pass rate.
Basic education minister, Angie Motshekga will announce the exam results on January the 5th next year, while candidates will receive their results the following day.
