DA wants Nhleko out─── 13:20 Wed, 25 Mar 2015
Cape Town - The DA has called on President Jacob Zuma to take action against Police Minister Nathi Nhleko.
This following yesterday’s revelations that Nhleko has finally suspended IPID boss Robert McBride.
It's been widely reported that McBride was suspended for trying to cook a top-level police investigation. The probe relates to the illegal rendition of illegal Zimbabweans.
Last week, an urgent interdict wanted by McBride to prevent his suspension from IPID was struck off the roll in the High Court in Pretoria.
McBride is expected to challenge the suspension.
The DA’s Dianne Kohler-Barnard says Nhleko must be fired for his unconstitutional conduct.
