No load shedding, but power grid tight: Eskom─── 09:40 Sat, 20 Jun 2015
Johannesburg - No power cuts were expected during the day on Saturday, Eskom said.
The power grid was however expected to come under pressure during the evening peak between 17h00 and 21h00, the utility said in a statement.
“As we are currently experiencing cold weather conditions across the country, we urge electricity users to consider energy efficient ways of keeping warm,” Eskom said.
“We appeal to all our customers to continue to reduce their electricity usage throughout the day but to be aware of the need to save more during the peak periods from 06:00 to 10:00 and 17:00 to 21:00.”
