State wants Krejcir's son in dock for Issa's murder | News Article

Johannesburg - Czech fugitive, Radovan Krejcir's son Dennis is believed to be linked to the killing of Lebanese national Sam Issa.

This was revealed in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Thursday as Krejcir and four others appeared in connection with the killing of Issa.

Prosecutor Lawrence Gcaba requested that the case against Krejcir and his co-accused be postponed in order for the State to locate Dennis and several other people who they believe could have played a part in Issa's killing.

Dennis was reported to currently be in the Czech Republic. It was unclear how the State intended to link him to the murder.

"We are exploring avenues of how to bring him to court. We don't want to go the extradition route," Gcaba said,

Issa, 51, was gunned down on October 12, 2013, in a drive-by shooting in Bedfordview. He had stopped at a traffic light.

A white Ford Ranger stopped next to him and the suspects started firing shots.

The defence lawyers for the five accused opposed the State's application for a postponement.

They called for the matter to be struck off the roll.

The case continues.
