Bloemfontein - The University of Pretoria Tuks proved too strong for Kovies on the second day of the Varsity Hockey being played at the Kovies astros as they beat the hosts 2-0.
There were no goals in the first two chukkas, but the Pretoria side made their move in the final period as a drag flick from Matthew Guise-Brown gave them the lead.
The victory was sealed by an impressive effort from Richard Pautz who produced a spectacular overhead shot to seal the win for the visitors.
The second match saw Rhodes and Wits play to a 1-1 draw.
This afternoon at 14:30 Kovies are up against Rhodes, while Tuks and Wits battle it out at 16:15.
