The long awaited bout between WBA and WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather junior and Manny Pacquiao is not a done deal yet.
Over the weekend it was reported that arguably the most eagerly anticipated fight in boxing history is on the cards with a reported purse of approximately R2,9 billion.
Mayweather, a world champion in five weight division denied that the deal between the two fighters had been signed yet.
The Filipino southpaw Pacquiao is 57 and 5 with two drawn and 38 knockouts, while undefeated Mayweather is 47 and 0 with 26 knockouts.
Drug testing protocol issues contributed to the breakdown of talks five years ago, but after the fighters met at an NBA game in Miami in late last month talks seemed to be progressing.
One other issue that must be resolved is the fighters' contracts with rival telecasters for the broadcasting rights.
