Due to the recent extreme cold weather, all towns of Dihlabeng Local Municipality have been experiencing a large number of water pipe bursts. Water meters are also damaged by the ice build-up.
Currently all the teams within the Water Section are working overtime to attend to all the damage, but even so there is a back-log of up to 24 hours with new complaints coming in all the time.
