OFM to donate R250k to Agri Securitas | News Article

OFM hopes to donate R250 000 on Wednesday evening to the Agri Securitas Trust fund, which aims to contribute towards rural safety in South Africa.

Former Springbok full-back, Stefan Terblanche, will be the main speaker at the annual Prestige Sports Evening on Wednesday, the 8th of October at St. George's Asterial Hall in Pretoria. Former Miss South Africa and television presenter, Nicole Flint, will MC the evening.

The evening is in aid of the Agri Securitas Trust fund, which aims to contribute towards rural safety in South Africa.

The fund provides financial resources to farming communities to enable them to improve their own safety, as well as the safety of others living in their communities, thus promoting a safe and prosperous agricultural industry in South Africa.

Afgri, NWK, OFM and Senwes are partnering to make this prestigious fundraising event possible.

Says OFM General Manager, Nick Efstathiou: "OFM broadcasts to a rather large agricultural community in the bread basket of South Africa and the Agri Securitas Trust Fund is very close to our hearts. As always, it is a privilege to be part of this fantastic event and we are hoping to be able to donate close to R 250 000 to this worthy organisation."

Terblanche played in 37 tests for South Africa and scored 19 tries, including a South African test record (equaled by Chester Williams and Pieter Rossouw) of four tries on debut against Ireland in Bloemfontein (13 June 1998). He later bettered this amazing performance by scoring a then record five tries against Italy (19 June 1999).
