Brüssow starts against the Crusaders | News Article

The Crusaders are welcoming the physical challenge the South African teams bring to the table as they prepare to do battle against the Toyota Cheetahs in the Super Rugby on Saturday.

The seven-time champions will face a South African team for the second week in a row after beating the Lions 34-6 last week in Christchurch.

On top of that, the team will jet off to South Africa on Sunday to face the Bulls and the Sharks in Pretoria and Durban respectively.

All Blacks lock, Luke Romano said it’s a different kind of challenge facing South African teams for four consecutive weeks, but has welcomed getting it out of the way.

The Crusaders are boosted with the news that All Blacks fullback, Israel Dagg will in all likeliness make his return to the park against the Cheetahs on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Cheetahs have made four changes to their team for Saturdays' match on the South island.

Springbok flank Heinrich Brüssow gets a starting role for the match, while Boom Prinsloo drops to the bench.

The side sees the halfback pairing of Joe Pietersen and Tian Meyer getting a run again after Pietersen recovered from a cold and with Sarel Pretorius not traveling with the side.

Pretorius is still in Bloemfontein for the birth of his child and will only join the side in Australia for the second half of their tour.

Utility back, Clayton Blommeties will start on the right wing with Springbok speedster, Cornal Hendricks being rested.

The changes sees Shaun Venter and Springbok Sevens stalwart, Rayno Benjamin come onto the bench.

Saturday morning’s match at the AMI Stadium in Christchurch kicks off at 8:35.
