The Orange River Cellars Griquas have moved to the top of the Currie Cup premier division qualifiers with a resounding 48-21 win over the Leopards in Potchefstroom.
The Griquas need bonus point wins from their remaining games after a shock loss to the Border Bulldogs in week one.
Former Toyota Cheetahs fullback dotted down twice as the Peacock Blues scored 8 tries, while the Leopards managed only 3 converted tries.
Saturday Griquas tackle the Down Touch Griffons in Kimberley while the Leopards take a well-deserved break.
Other results over the weekend saw the Valke beat the SWD Eagles 22-17 in Kempton Park, while the Border Bulldogs stunned the Boland Cavaliers with a 22-15 away win in Wellington.
Friday evening the Eagles host the Cavaliers at Outeniqua Park in George, while Border are at home to the Valke in East London on Satruday.
Saturday’s big central South Africa derby between the Griquas and Griffons at Griquas Park kicks-off at 15:15.
