Boks still under pressure | News Article

The Springboks are still under pressure heading into their final Pool game of the Rugby World Cup when they tackle the USA this evening.

South Africa currently tops Pool B after back-to-back wins against Samoa and Scotland, however they loss against Japan in the opening round has put pressure on the team.

The Boks, Scotland and Japan can all still qualify for the next round, however the men in green-and-gold will assure themselves of a spot in the quarter-finals with a win over the Eagles.

Speaking at the captains run in London yesterday, Springbok captain Fourie du Preez said they are still under a lot of pressure, but they control their destiny.

This evening’s match at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London kicks off at 17:45.

Meanwhile in last night’s matches Fiji were too strong for Uruguay and claimed a 47-15, while in Leicester, Romania came from behind to stunned Canada 17-15for their first ever World Cup win.
