Pretoria - Judge Thokozila Masipa this morning sentenced Paralympian Oscar Pistorius in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria to five years in prison for the culpable homicide of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius was convicted on September 12 for shooting Steenkamp dead in his Pretoria townhouse in the early hours of Valentine’s day last year. He was cleared of a charge of murder.
