Bloemfontein - As the world commemorated World Arthritis Day yesterday, health practitioners say while the underlying disease process of osteo-arthritis cannot be changed, the symptoms can be managed.
Orthopaedic surgeon, Robert Van Der Plank says knee arthritis is the most common type of arthritis worldwide and is a progressive condition.
Van Der Plank however says new medication could bring more permanent healing for the affliction.
