Cape Town – Ses'khona People's Rights leader and ANC Western Cape executive committee member, Andile Lili, was arrested on Friday.
Spokesperson Jabu Mfusi said the party was trying to get more details, but he understood it was related to the conditions of his suspended sentence.
Lili and eight others were sentenced for violating the Civil Aviation Act by dumping human excrement at Cape Town International Airport in 2013, in protest against the City of Cape Town providing portable toilets in informal settlements. They wanted fixed toilets. He was sentenced to 36 months in jail, suspended for five years. Further details of the arrest were not available.
