Bloemfontein - A well-known Bloemfontein businessman, Henk Cronjé, has passed away after he was involved in a shooting incident at Mediclinic Bloemfontein this morning.
Henk Cronjé, who made media headlines recently because of a feud with his oncologist father, Neil Cronjé, shot himself in his father’s consulting rooms at the hospital.
Hospital spokesperson, Amanda Appelgryn, referred media enquiries to the police. OFM News spoke to Cronjé’s father’s advocate, Willie Botha, who confirmed the incident, but did not want to elaborate.
Henk had initially received treatment in an intensive care unit, before passing away a short while later. Police spokesperson, Wendy Nkabi, said police are on the scene at Mediclinic. She did not want to say more, as a police docket has not been opened yet.
According to media reports the feud between father and son made several turns in the Free State High Court and involves several allegations by the duo who own the well-known conference and wedding venue, Kopano Nokeng.
