Christiana - North West police have arrested two wanted fraudsters in Christiana following a plea for help from the community.

Spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, says John Clare Miller and his accomplice, Wilhelm Petrus Miller, are wanted for fraud and theft.

The pair allegedly conned unsuspecting community members by advertising the house they were occupying for rent, and then refused to vacate the premises despite being paid deposits. Mokgwabone said the pair also advertised their services as building contractors, requested a 70% upfront payment, but never started with the building work.

The pair are expected to appear in the Orkney Magistrate's Court today.
