Fauna-shooting suspect to appear in court─── REFILWE GAESWE 10:44 Sun, 03 Jul 2016

Bloemfontein - A 31-year-old man, believed to have shot his father at their home in Fauna, Bloemfontein, on Friday and then fled in his vehicle, will appear at the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court for attempted murder tomorrow (Monday).
Police spokesperson, Wendy Nkabi, said the 31-year-old man was arrested on Friday night in Bochabela by the Tactical Response Team (TRT) and detained at the Park Road Police Station.
Nkabi says the man accused his 54-year-old father of having a romantic relationship with his girlfriend. He allegedly fired four shots at their home in Tsessebe Street before he drove off. His vehicle was later found in Bochabela at a friend’s house and he apparently fled on foot.
Police have confiscated his gun.
Nkabi says they will check its legal ownership and whether it’s licenced.
The man’s mother and girlfriend, who were at home at the time of the incident, were not injured.
However, his father was allegedly grazed by a bullet and was treated in a hospital emergency room for a scratch on the forehead.
