Thousands arriving for national Heritage Day celebrations | News Article

Kimberley - Thousands are arriving at the Galeshewe Stadium in Kimberley where the national Heritage Day celebrations will be taking place.

Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa, is expected to give the keynote address.

National Spokesperson of the Department of Arts and Culture, Lisa Combrinck, says all roads across the country are leading to the Northern Cape Province.

“The theme of today’s celebrations is around celebrating our human treasures, our human legends. To be able to assert our African identity. I am already at the stadium and people are busy arriving and many of them are coming in their diverse traditional African attires. There is an exciting mood that is building up and we are looking forward to having a full audience and a full cultural programme.”
