High level intervention for service delivery problems─── CATHY DLODLO 07:06 Fri, 07 Oct 2016
Bloemfontein - The panel appointed by parliament to hold public hearings on the several pieces of legislature on challenges such as unemployment, land distribution and social cohesion, is expected to table a report mid next year.
The panel conducted its third provincial hearing in Bloemfontein yesterday.
Residents from around the province raised service delivery problems such as a lack of medication at clinics in rural areas and the slow pace in developing some official languages.
Chairperson of the panel, former president Kgalema Motlanthe, says with the intervention of the panel some of the issues raised involving service delivery problems will, however, be addressed on a more urgent basis.
