Rocklands murder and gangsterism case continues─── ANDRE GROBLER 15:07 Fri, 14 Oct 2016

Bloemfontein - The murder and gangsterism trial of three young men accused of killing a man in Rocklands in August 2015 is continuing in the Free State High Court.
The State has so far called various policemen who were part of the investigation and covered aspects such as pointing out of scenes with the suspects.
The State alleges that Tumelo Selebano, 20, Tladi Mafunda, 22, and Nkwebe Seatile, 21, in August 2015 murdered Lebogang Gaoboihi in Mojatau Street, Rocklands. The three men also face a charge of taking part in criminal gang activities.
They have pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The court has heard that the area where the murder took place is well-known for gang activities between mainly two groups, the Maroma gang, and the BTK gang. The State alleges the men’s actions were part of an apparent conflict between the two rival gangs that have terrorised the community around August last year.
The three accused are apparently part of the Maroma gang.
They have denied this in court.
Two of the men allege that on the day of the murder they acted in self-defense after a group of men entered the school yard, where they were busy with a cultural event, and started to attack pupils.
The trial continues.
