Green Santa to surprise Dealesville kids today─── CHRISTAL-LIZE MULLER 10:19 Fri, 25 Nov 2016

Dealesville - South Africa’s well-known disaster relief organisation, Gift of the Givers, is celebrating an early Christmas with underprivileged children from Dealesville in the Free State.
Children from Tshwaraganang will be spoiled today with a Christmas party which forms part of the foundation’s Santa goes Green Project. The foundation’s Emily Thomas says the project started a few years ago. A group of children from a chosen community in one of the country’s selected provinces is spoiled on the day.
She says the foundation is known to assist in disaster situations. With this project, however, the foundation wants to make communities feel good. “We say to communities forget about disaster, forget about poverty and everything else.”
The focus of the days is on children and making them happy.
She says it is a fun-filled day with jumping castles and dancing which will definitely put smiles on many faces.
It is all about food and lots of fun and the highlight of the day is when Santa will arrive on a big 30 ton truck with gifts for everyone.
