Bloemfontein - The five heavily armed suspects who allegedly robbed a Bloemfontein filling station and shot a security guard this week are still at large.
This is according to Hawks spokesperson, S’fiso Nyakane, and comes after the suspects - armed with high calibre rifles and one with a pistol - robbed the filling station in O.R Tambo Street on Wednesday morning. They fled with an undisclosed amount money.
Nyakane said they allegedly held staff at gunpoint and blew open a drop safe in the convenience store with explosives. A security guard was wounded after being shot on his helmet.
The suspects fled in a white Toyota Corolla without a registration number.
