Harrismith - There is a total road closure on the N3 in Harrismith following a fatal accident involving a truck and a vehicle.
Netcare911 paramedics are on scene with other emergency services. Both the truck and vehicle have burst into flames.
The fire department is on scene trying to extinguish the fire.
It’s believed that the occupants of the truck and the vehicle are still trapped inside their vehicles
Traffic is being diverted.
Motorists are advised to obey the road rules and stick to the speed limit this busy festive season.
According to the police at least three people died in the crash.
