High level intervention in NC ANC infighting─── CATHY DLODLO 11:30 Sat, 18 Feb 2017

Kimberley - The provincial executive committee of the ANC in the Northern Cape (PEC) met with ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe in an effort to resolve infighting in the province ahead of its provincial conference.
ANC spokesperson in the province, Naledi Gaosekwe, says the meeting was prompted by a petition about the preparations for the conference that is scheduled for 8 - 12 March in Colesberg.
She said the no conclusion has been reached and a follow-up meeting is going to be held.
"Preparations for the eighth provincial conference are on track as prescribed by the provincial conference timelines adopted by the PEC. There are rumours that some REC’s have been disbanded, but there were no such discussions. The powers of the PEC also remains intact, despite rumours to the contrary."
