Captain Francois Venter starts the match in the midfield along with IRB Junior World Championship-winning former BabyBok, William Small-Smith.

Springbok lock, Lood de Jager, has been named as the side's vice-captain for the match in the Bay.

Flyhalf Sias Ebersohn has been named in a starting role with Sergeal Petersen at fullback, while Maphutha Dolo and Raymond Rhule start on the wing.

Up front Maks van Dyk, Torsten van Jaarsveld and Charles Marais form the front-row.

The Kings also named their side for the warm-up and coach Deon Davids says they need to improve on last week’s unimpressive 22-16 win over the SWD Eagles.

“We want to see this week that when we get opportunities, that we can get points out of it and when we get the ball from our own set piece, that we have the ability to keep it for longer phases.

“Then also that we play our territory game better, I just felt that last week in the first half there were time that we played rugby in the wrong half of the field.

“So we want to get that right this weekend and try to look for an improvement.”

Friday evening’s match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium kicks off at 19:00.
