The Eastern Province Kings have no major injury concerns heading into their grueling double header in the Currie Cup.

The side from Port Elizabeth tackle the Griquas tomorrow in Kimberley and also have a game against the Toyota Free State Cheetahs on Saturday.

This makes having a fully fittest squad of the utmost importance for the team who are lying on the bottom of the log.

The team's coach, the former Free State and Springbok forward, Barend Pieterse, says they are viewing the two matches as a mini-tour and he wants his side to have fun.

“I said to the guys that it’s going to be a mini-tour for us, so we want to make it fun for the guys.

“We’re not going to go down there and just have a training and video session, we’ve got to make it fun for the boys and hopefully come away with one or two good scores.

The coach added that he will be considering a view key players for the two matches.

“In certain areas we would like to give some of the guys some rest.

“Guys like Ricky (Schroeder) and Tazz (Fuzani) have played 80 minutes, 80 minutes so you want to give them a break if possible.

“That was the plan in the beginning, but you don’t want to pick totally new sides for the Cheetahs or the Griquas.”

The Kings tackle the Griquas at 17:00 tomorrow afternoon at Griqua Park and the Free State Cheetahs on Saturday afternoon at 15:00 in Bloemfontein.
