The Springboks assembled in Johannesburg yesterday to prepare for their Rugby Championship Test against the Wallabies on Saturday.

The Boks are on a three-match losing streak for losses to the Pumas, Wallabies and All Blacks in the competition.

The squad has been boosted with the return of Lood de Jager of the Toyota Cheetahs and Julian Redelinghuys of the Lions.

The pair have recovered from their respective injuries and could be included in the starting XV.

Morné Steyn is expected to start at flyhalf for his Test at his former home ground, Loftus Versfeld.

Willie le Roux is also expected to replace his former Cheetahs team mate, Johan Goosen, for the Test, with the latter moving to the bench.

This will mean that Allister Coetzee will have two pivots on the bench, with Patrick Lambie of the Sharks also expected to be named on the bench.

Lambie has been out of action since getting concussed against Ireland in the first Test at Newlands in Cape Town.

Saturday’s Test between the Springboks and Wallabies in Pretoria kicks off at 17:00.
