We know It ain't easy. But preventing weight gain is easier than trying to loose your holiday belly after new years

1.  Bring Healthy Treats to the Party. "The minute someone invites you to a gathering, offer to bring a dish," Hodgson went on. "While this may not be an option for every gathering, it's always worth offering. This way you know the menu will include at least one waist-friendly dish." 2. Drink up ... on the Right Things. "If your body is dehydrated it literally cannot function, and it increases cravings too,


3. Be a mall rat
With a mile-long to-do list before the big holiday get-together, there’s just no time for exercise, right? Wrong-o: Simply lace up your sneakers and powerwalk between errands. (This is especially doable at a mall or shopping center.)


4. Park a good walking distance away from the Mall, Restaurant or shop.  This is the most obvious well known 'tip' for staying active if you don't have time. Another fan favorite is to use stairs in stead of escalators


5. Do some DIYardwork
Whether it’s raking leaves or mowing the lawn, yard work is an unexpected way to get the heart rate up and work out major muscle groups.


6. Take advantage of kid's energy 

Play with them, go for a walk or chase them around the house. They will keep you active and put you in the holiday spirit.


7. Be realistic if you can't do your full intensive work out that is fine, just don't get demotivated and let it slip completely
