Bloemfontein - The Proteas cricket team departs for Zimbabwe this morning, where they will face the host in a one-off Test and three ODI’s before playing against them a gain in a triangular series, which will feature Australia as well.
Assistant coach Andy Birrell earlier said they are entering a new era in South African cricket, following the recent retirement of cricket great, Jacques Kallis.
Birrell feels the team are in a good place at the moment and are starting to focus on next years’ ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
South Africa go into this weeks’ Test after regaining their world number one status by beating Sri Lanka 1-0 in their two-test series in the subcontinent last month.
