Proteas back Parnell─── 11:24 Tue, 03 Feb 2015
Proteas coach Russell Domingo says Wayne Parnell has the full backing of his team mates and management heading into the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.
During a send-off for the Eastern Cape based players and management, the coach questioned public opinion of the player and said he couldn’t understand it.
Parnell comes off a 4 wicket haul against the West Indies in the 5th and final ODI at Centurion and Domingo is happy that he's in a good space heading to Australasia - despite the bad rap he often seems to cop from the cricketing public.

It’s just one of those things every time he (Parnell) does make a mistake people jump on top of him,” Domingo said of the seam bowler.
“It does put him under a lot of pressure to perform continuously,” the coach added.
The team will jet off to Australasia tomorrow afternoon, where they will face Sri Lanka and New Zealand in two warm-up matches in Christchurch ahead or the World Cup. South Africa start their bid for a first title when they face Zimbabwe in Hamilton on 15 February.
