Bloemfontein - Wildlife Ranching SA (WRSA) has called for calm when it comes to finding solutions for agricultural development, transformation and land reform.
This following a newspaper article stating that Environment Minister Edna Molewa has set her sights on white game farmers.
WRSA President Peter Oberem said in a statement the association believes that whenever sensitive issues are raised, emotions threaten to run wild, hampering the process of finding a just and equitable solution.
Oberem says they are happy Land Reform Minister Gugile Nkwinti has recognised the need for game ranchers to be exempt from the 5000ha limit for big farms, adding the WRSA intends to continue and and intensify its good faith and open dialogue with Ministers Molewa and Nkwinti.
