SA misses out on agriculture 'branding' opportunity─── SABRINA DEAN 17:50 Wed, 15 Jul 2015
Bloemfontein - South Africa has missed out on an opportunity to brand its agriculture and agro-food systems at an international expo with representation by 140 different countries.
This is according to Agbiz CEO Dr John Purchase, who recently returned from a visit to the Milan Expo 2015 under the theme “Feeding the planet: energy for life” , as well as the United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) Agri Tech Week event.
Purchase says it is really a pity that SA was not represented at the Milan Expo 2015:

Commenting on the UKTI Agri Tech Week, Purchase says it was great to see how people are innovating and using technologies to improve production.
He highlighted a concern that SA is lagging behind global food companies by not investing in or implementing new technologies.
