Bloemfontein Celtic and Botswanan international midfielder, Joel Mogorosi is set to leave the club at the end of the current season.
The star player’s contract expires at the end of this campaign and no extension has been put on the table by the club.
Celtic CEO, Khumbulani Konco confirmed that the 30-year-old midfielder will not be offered a new deal at the club.
Konco added that the club is focussing on signing young and upcoming players.
The news of the former captains exit comes just days before the Phunya Sele Sele face sister club, Roses United in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 on Sunday.
Celtic goes into the match with confidence following their 3-0 drubbing of AmaZulu in the league last week.
Meanwhile, the clash between Celtic and Roses could be postponed at the 11th hour.
North West Shining Stars and Roses met in the Nedbank Cup preliminary round, but Stars launched a protest alleging that Roses fielded an improperly-registered player.
Stars have taken their case against Roses to the SAFA appeals board, which could result in the match being postponed.
Sunday’s match at the Free State Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 15:00.
