Mashamite dominates PSL Awards─── 08:29 Mon, 18 May 2015
Kazier Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamite was dominated the annual Premier Soccer League Awards last night by winning four of the catagories his was nominated in.
The Amakhosi defender walked away with the 2014/15 Footballer of the Season, Premiership Player’s Player of the Season and the Premiership Defender of the Season.
The awards netted his a cool R450 000 in prize money.
Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Teko Modise, who also had numerous nominations, and clinced the scooped the Premiership Midfielder of the Season title and the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament award.
Moeketsi Sekola of Free State Stars won the PSL Golden Boot award for his 14 league goals this season, while Moeneeb Josephs of Wits was named as the goalkeeper of the season.
Glamour Boys coach, Stuart Baxter was named as the coach of the season for guiding Chiefs to the 2014/15 title.
