Efficiently will be the key word for Bloemfontein Celtic as they get their preseason underway heading into the 2016/17 Premier Soccer League campaign.

Following a near month break from the sport, the team assembled at Siwelele Park in the City of Roses yesterday.

The team will want to put their dreadful 2015/16 season behind and start the rebuilding process after finishing 11th in the PSL standings, one point and place ahead of the rivals, Free State Stars.

Numerous players have left the club during the offseason and these include Keegan Buchanan, who has been unveiled as a Kaizer Chiefs player, and the Malawian international striker, Hellings Mahango, who has joined Wits.

Coach Serame Letsoaka told OFM Sport that it’s important to contract players on their adaptability to the team.

“We’re going to build and we’re going to try. We’re going to recruit players and when we recruit players we recruit players that fit our style of play.

“We will not take players who are just good, we will take players that will definitely suit what we are trying to do.

“There will be much efficiency next season. The preseason is quite important because it’s where you try and make your team efficient and this is what we’re going to try.

“The decision-making will come from if you train properly and you will prepare players properly.

Celtic will be unveiling their eight new players on Sunday morning at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.
